(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Space Mountain with the light on.

As a little kid visiting Disney, Space Mountain was one of my bigger-than-life memories.
This was before all the high-tech dreams became part of everyday life. I remember the beautiful white mountain-ish shape with the cool projectiles.
I'll admit that I was young enough that I pretended to be a real astrounaut as I buckled the seat belt. I really got into it. I have a vivid imagination to begin with, but give it a little something to work with, and I'm just dreaming away!
I remember this intense mystery, though...just WHAT does Space Mountain look like with the lights on? There were a few spots where I could glimpse something, but in general there was only darkness. I remember riding the WedWay People Mover and peering into the mountain as we went by, hoping to see some track. All I could see was the glow-in-the-dark marks on the cars as they sped by. Maybe there were some shadows. In general, no real sight of the tracks.
Well, here is a video of just that! It does not take away from the fun for me. It just adds a little more dimension to the image.
I also had a habit, as a kid, of closing my eyes and trying to remember the Disney attractions when I was back home. Of course, so many of them got jumbled or simply made-up, but I think I stayed pretty true to the basics.
I never imagined that, one day, the technology would exist where I could view almost ANYTHING online, including Disney Attractions.
And, so, my goal for this blog is to maybe show you something you may not have seen before. Did I succeed?

Always wonder what it was like in the regular lines since they take you through the exit on some them at DL anyhow or the rides it self That I can't even get on. With U-tube I like the fact I get to see them. Or experience them with out getting dizzy. I like to have an imagination my self, I'm a Trekkie so I sometimes imagine to be in the future with my van having a hoover conversion like Back to the Future part 2 had. Yeah I know, but who said I had to grow when I'm alone lol

I had actually seen that clip video before, but it was fun to watch again - especially since we leave for WDW in 4 weeks!! It's amazing to me how much slower it seems with lights on. I think the darkness helps feed our imagination - makes such a relatively tame coaster seem unbelievably exciting.0 Pixie Dust
