(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Toilet paper points at home
Posted 08-01-2009 at 09:11 AM by Sandra Bostwick
Toilet paper points at home are just as special!
A while back, I started using a maid every other week at my house. A BIG part of the cost was offset as a write-off for my business which is almost half the house. Really, all these maids do is the heavy stuff like vacuming, scrubbing floors and bathrooms, and dusting.
Do you hire help for the inside of your house? If you do (or did) what do you think of the situation? Does having hired or family help around the house give you a boost?
I suppose a full service housekeeping situation would cost alot more, so I'm happy with someone to do the heavy stuff and the house looks neat and clean...well at least for a while!
Having someone come in every other week is like a big shot-in-the-arm for my cleaning motivation. I find myself happily reorganizing, choosing a closet to fix up, dusting china and crystal, and other things before the maids come. There is something about being HELPED that is like a good shot of espresso for my soul. I suppose I'm in the situation of "too much house" when it comes to keeping it free from dust and cat hair unless I close rooms off completely.
Usually, I'm at work when they are here, but in summer I'm off on Fridays, so I work on some detail stuff while they work. All I kept thinking about was how blessed I am to have help, even if I have to pay for it. Every other week it is a huge boost for my moral.
The best thing is that they make toilet paper points too! Let's see...at three bathrooms how much is that a point...hmmmmm YIKES.

No, I have to do it all myself. When I feel like it, that is. I think I would feel uncomfortable having somebody else clean my house. I have a friend at house who cleans houses for a living, and I would trust her to do it, but I would feel funny about her seeing all my filth. But it sure would be nice to not have to worry about it!
PS. I didn't realize you worked at home!0 Pixie Dust
