(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

A fork in the road of progress.
Yesterday I hit a fork in the road of progress. I've been bloggin about creating theme areas in my home, similar to the way that Disney Parks have separate and distinct themes.
After accomplishing some nice theming in my bedroom, I became very enthiusiastic about creating a theme in my downstairs office play room. The problem? I had not really finished my bedroom yet.
Does energy and momentum sometimes work against you when you are trying to focus on one project?
Page 34 of Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look at Making the Magic Real notes that "the process of developing an idea can be temporarily stopped at any time for many reasons, including a change in concept direction, a change in project priority, or even a change of mind."
The Imagineers quote Pablo Picasso: I look at flies, at flowers, at leaves and trees around me. I let my mind drift at ease, just like a boat in the current. Sooner or later, it is caught by something.
Well, yesterday, my inspiration split like two bright butterflies that suddenly began flying in different directions. There is NO WAY I could have worked on both rooms at the same time!
This time, I decided to focus on the details and finishing touches on my bedroom theme. Today I'll finish the trim and, I think, put a coat of accent paint on the ugly doors that are marked with scratches and paint splatters from 30-some years of wear and tear.
THANK YOU BLOG! Each time I post, it feels like a little spark of energy is deposted into my project account.
Is anyone working on projects along with me? You can adapt your own project to the reflections if you are not inspired to work on your home right now.

Good for you on finishing up one area before moving to the next! I think that's why so many things don't get done around our house - we work on so many little things, instead of focusing all our energy on one whole area. And then the little things sometimes are so little that we are the only ones that ever notice they've been done.0 Pixie Dust

Congratulations on finishing your room. With my current situation here at home, I too am under going changes. I am working on getting rid of YEARS of clutter. I started my bedroom, only to realize that that could wait but that the MAIN parts of the house needed attention first. So I did the bathroom, the pantry and I am currently working on de-cluttering the kitchen. Then will come the living room. My only OBSTACLE during this task is getting the kids to help me along the way. So once I get the rest of the house to feel like MY home, I will have to grab trash bags and gloves and maybe some sort of mask (lol) and a rope in case I get lost and head into the jungles of the kids' rooms.0 Pixie Dust
