(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

HELP! I just don't have a blogworthy thought every day!
I looked at this blog, which is now yesterday, and did something that I've been tempted to do before.
I deleted.
I have really discovered one of the main pitfalls of blogging every day. Some days are just NOT blogworthy!
There! I admitted it. What a relief.
The whole concept of blogging is new to me. Sometimes, as I write, the obvious occurs to me. "Who cares?" OK, that isn't a cry for help, it is just a philosophical problem related to blogging. I think that should occur to just about any blogger who does not believe they are the center of the universe.
I think communication is in a tail-spin in these wierd times where people tweet and twitter fleeting thoughts to anyone who might virtually pass by. Am I the only one who thinks these are REALLY wierd times as far as social communication?
I think a comment that you are sitting on the couch with a cat, though, is less of an assumption that a blog entry on a topic.
When you read about someone sitting on a couch with a cat, it's quick, painless, and does not really assume that anything worthy of sparking a whole lot of gray matter is being offered. As a matter of fact, such comments almost assume that there is nothing of substance, really, being conveyed at all. They are like a friendly head-nod or hat-tip while not even slowing your walking pace, They are just a way to say "Hey" wit a few more words and just a tad more info.
A blog, in general, has a topic and some type of opinion. Whenever I finish some blog entries, I feel as if I need a disclaimer. Here are a few:
As if anyone cares.
Don't mind me, I'm this stupid in real-life too!
Another one finished, don't mind the lack of substance.
In Sandy's blog, no one can hear you scream.
Don'tworry. I'm an adjunct in a County College, I'm used to droning on and on in front of people who wish I would disappear.
OK, I'm getting silly now, but here's the point. I think that it is kind-of egoistic to think that anyone cares to hear your thoughts in the first place, but to think anyone would care daily???? Just for the record, I'm not deluded enough to think such a thing.
BUT, I am learning something amazing with this experiment to blog every day for a school year.
I always find a worthy topic in highlighting other people's accomplishments, especially the ongoing progress of interesting people. I do enjoy writing about Walt Disney himself, but that still seems like ME giving opinions and reflections. My favorite blog entries, I realize, are the ones where I pretty much cut and paste a comment or project update from someone else and show it off. NEVER, when I do that, do I wonder if it was worth the electricity to put it here.
I'm going to continue to blog every day and, hopefully, I'll come up with something reasonable, but I want to thank the people here who give me the material that I feel is most blogworthy.

That is a really good point. To be honest, I've never tried an "experiment" like this before, so I could not have anticipated how it would go.
By the way, that entry above was not complaining, it was my strange form of sarcasm!
I really like your suggestion that, some days, the blog post can be lighter and not as intensive.
I think when a little, unknown blogger starts something like this, the question of "Why are you doing this?" arises.
Of course, it would make sense for someone with a huge following to do such a blog, but the truth is, if that were the case, there would be a whole lot of comments and a whole lot less of a personal touch.
Oh, I don't know, and I am getting back to work now!
You are AWESOME, friend, for your support and the time you take to keep a dialogue going. I really do appreciate it!0 Pixie Dust

Sandy your never alone there is always someone there to speak to. And you can write those thoughts out to share and get it off your heart like you just did. Remember we have an enemy that would love to bring us down. I ask every day to keep our hart in good shape and keep us safe. When It rain here in town I really can't get out but I won't let that get me down I go and do something worth while like my site and talking to others like you. Now stand up and left your head up high because your a special person to everyone here and I bet to the children you work with as well.0 Pixie Dust

(Here's me talking!)
OK, you know what? That really puts everything in perspective. It is hard to imagine being homebound whenever it rains, but the way you keep your spirits up and only seem to think of other people is wonderful!
I love that there are places on the internet that can get you out when you are stuck inside. It makes me think of this_entry.
I think that is why people need to take the time to put positive, possibly helpful topics on the internet. It just can't be all news, people fighting over trifling things, mindless games, and porn!0 Pixie Dust

LOL! And just WHAT characteristics of Forest make you think of me???????
I actually said that a while back in a comment when Angie said she didn't know what she'd do when my blog schoolyear is finished.

That made my day!
Don't ask me why, but the comment about what to do when the year is up reminds me of when Forest Gump started running "for no particular reason" and people started running with him, thinking there was something to it.
When he decided to stop, also for no particular reason, the people asked "Well what do we do now?"
This will be me at the end of my blogging year!

Oops! Sorry! It was Jamie who made the comment!
I keep wondering after a whole year of following this blog; what in the world am I going to do after the year is up and you choose to no longer blog? Sometimes I am only a lookielou and sometimes I comment, but everytime I come here I leave with something I didn't have before: An idea, encouragement, or food for thought. Thanks Sandy

I remember that post and commented back then....
But right now, or rather when I did this post, it popped right back into my head while I was reading it .....
Well - first off...there's the determination to complete this project.....for all of us to think of and pursue a goal.... [Forest's run....which for Forest, the goal was maybe to clear his head, heart....and running was something that comforted him and protected him, gave him a sort of freedom and sense that he was actually doing something and not just sitting around and let the heartache (and possibly the taunts he had gotten his whole life) consume him]
then, there's this part...
Don't ask me why, but the comment about what to do when the year is up reminds me of when Forest Gump started running "for no particular reason" and people started running with him, thinking there was something to it.
When he decided to stop, also for no particular reason, the people asked "Well what do we do now?"
and didn't Forest's following question themselves??? Why are we doing this???
BUT - there is something to it.... you have united us, encourage us for things in our own lives, just like in the group - we support and encourage each other.... maybe this blog also gives one the courage to try ......
and when you said this: As if anyone cares.
Don't mind me, I'm this stupid in real-life too!

I just wanted to say Run Sandy, Run...... We LOVE you and we want you here.... not to disappear......
Now see who is rambling now.....LOL...0 Pixie Dust
