(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Barriers, Detours, and Bridges out.
A certain Passporter helped me remember that you just can't let obstacles stand in the way of the things you want to do or need to do.
Some obstacles, though, are hard to manage. Limitations of one sort or another or maybe too much of something that makes your progress more difficult.
Barriers are the obstacles that cause you to take those extra steps around or over.
Detours make you take a different, less direct route.
And a bridge out can stop you in your tracks.
Sometimes you just can't shake yourself free of the things that keep you from moving forward. Those things can definitely slow or even stop your progress, but if you don't allow them to stop your spirit, you can keep moving.
Blogging every day is tough because, sometimes, I think my general frame of mind would be best kept to myself. Sometimes I think I should sugarcoat or paint some sunshine on a cloud.
This blogging every day is also a good reality check because, if I am to be honest, I'll see some of the patterns that I might otherwise try to ignore. I'll see that sometimes life knocks the wind out of me.
Maybe I am taking myself a bit off topic, but, when I was in high school there was a special person named Monica who used to help me navigate the world. She'd keep track of schedules for me, remind me of performances, and generally keep me from losing my head. She was a good friend.
I tried to find her often over the past several years but I just discovered that she passed away on 3/21/2007.
She was the type of friend who would help me navigate the barriers, detours, and bridge-outs of life. I wish I'd tracked her down before she passed because, in all honesty, I never really thanked her.
By the time i realized how good she was to me, we'd lost track. When I finally found her, it was in a post-mortem tribute.
It seems important now to thank people, but there are just SO many!
SO, Linda, Jennifer, Susanne, Sal, Vivian, all the countless friends who help me who i did not name AND my PassPorter people, I'm thanking you now.
For the kindness, the guidance, and the help moving toward those goals. I really do appreciate you.
There are only a few minutes to post before the day is done, so here it is!
Nighty night!
