(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Think it through Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is dedicated to thinking things through. I've been running on sort-of crisis mode for quite some time, and that is like running a car without oil. Boy-oh-boy, it wears you down!
It's been really the last three weeks that I managed to tie up loose ends with some big things and, I hate to say, once I sat down and THOUGHT about the best way to get them done, they came easily!
When I give a student a puzzle, I try to get them to use strategies first...organize the work area, put all the pieces facing up...set aside the corners and the edges, look at the box for clues...
So, today is dedicated to setting up those strategies that will help me manage the puzzle that is my "to do" list.
Do you think you could benefit from taking a step back and looking to see if there are better ways to approach your day?

Definitely. I get so caught up in trying to stick with my routine, but that is not always the best answer. I need to be more flexible with my days. I keep thinking, when Joshua starts back to school in another month, maybe then I will do a better job of getting things accomplished. But I'm probably just kidding myself! We'll see ...
I think we all kid ourselves. Good point about thinking "When this happens, I'll be able to do that". I feel the same way, sometimes.0 Pixie Dust

I've heard it is good to start your day in meditation and reflection on those things that lift you and others up and how you may prepare yourself for each day. I also find that I am by nature and personality the type to analyze a situation, think throught the options and prepare accordingly. If I do not think about my plans and know kind of which way I'm going I usually spend alot of time backtracking and redoing tasks because of something I forgot or didn't consider would happen. I am less comfortable to go on a whim, but I also know that I have to keep a good balance in spontinaity and careful planning in order to keep things running smoothly and to lessen the stresses of life.
I've actually been trying to do that with these blogs. I've been setting my intentions in the writing. Thanks for the comments.0 Pixie Dust
