I purchased three other books to help me out with semi-relocating to Orlando. Fodor’s Orlando’s 25 Best had a pullout map, a fold out map of the theme park areas inside the front cover and a map of the iRide Trolley on the inside flap. I can’t really say the pullout map was laminated, but let’s say it is ‘glossy’ –no ripping or tearing here. The book itself is very sturdy and relatively small – all pages are glossy. It had lots of good information and pretty pictures. I think this is even where I found out about the mystery dinner show we loved so much. Moon Handbooks Walt Disney World & Orlando Incl. Daytona Beach & the Space Coast has great maps of different areas. I marked Kissimmee and Vicinity, but there are many, many other useful maps. I don’t seem to have any information marked or underlined, but it does have descriptions of attractions. Insight Guides’ Orlando Step by Step has a map on the inside cover, map of Orlando and Kissimme - St Cloud, a map of Central Florida inside the back cover, and a pouch inside the back flap for the pull out map. Let’s call this map semi-glossy, but this is the one I used the most because I found it easy to read. I think it was the colors. There is a light yellow background with theme parks, resorts, and golf courses highlighted in other colors. I found it very easy to find things. This book had classic, colored pictures on glossy pages. I didn’t mark anything in it, but judging by where it falls open I must have read the sections about EPCOT and International Drive. The book is taller than Orlando’s Best, but just as thin and nice to carry.
