(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

7 Days to GOal: A guest blog by Angie
Posted 05-05-2010 at 12:30 AM by Sandra Bostwick
(This entry is by a.daley, our own resident artist who has been completing a project with the blog. Thank you, Angie, for being willing to provide a guest blog!)
I went on to passporters looking for a place that loves Disney as much as I do.
I found a whole lot more! I found people that went out of their way to greet me and compliment me on my artwork. People that befriended me just to say "HI!"
I was introduced to a blog by Sandy, both a friend and a stranger. Not sure if I had much to say, and had never been on a blog before, it took quite a while to open up and to find that in many ways, the topics related to my everyday life (struggles, confidence, career)
I found a place where I could put out a thought that instantly came to mind the moment I read the daily entry.
Something clicked and I realized that I needed this outlet more than I thought! Better still... I wasn't alone! So many other people came to the blog with something to say, to get out in the open, to recieve confirmation or advice.
It wasn't just about Disney, vacations, characters, status. It was how anyone can wake up with self importance, assurance, clarity... all because they put their "magical" thoughts, ideas and beliefs out into the blog and some stranger took the time to write back.
I started getting notes and compliments on my artwork, so each day I put another piece on the blog... and BAM! people took two minutes out of their day to tell me they loved it. So I put more up, and more wrote. I wasn't looking for praise or fans... I never expected to put my work up. But Sandy found a home for me and my work within her blog. Then as quick as Sandy mentioned a future topic, I created... Like we were on the same page, same wave length... and never even met.
The topic of the blog was to set goals and possibly reach or realize those goals. Mine was to be discoered by Disney, get swooped off into the Orlando sunset, and live magically ever after... I have never felt so close to that dream / goal. But each time I post a piece, I feel I am one step closer and I have even expanded my goal into other areas. I have never felt support from anywhere in my life then here on Sandy's Blog. I am not constantly reminded of my reality and the difficulty in what i am aiming for... I hear all about the "why not" and the "keep going" from friends/strangers.
Sandy, being like the wizard of oz, took this idea and carried it out for so long, selflessly, to help people gather their thoughts, plan ahead, focus on a goal... and in time carry it out... not by the time the blog ended, but everyone on the blog is closer to their goal / dream than when they started... I hope Sandy is too...

My heart will always have a permanant home in Disney. Walt said (not sure of the exact quote in One Man's Dream) that Disney would go on after he was gone, and that even the trees would continue to grow and become more beautiful.
I think it could be Angie painting Disney, PassPorter's writing about Disney, sharing photos, or anything that sparks a memory.
Disney has a permanant resting place in lots of ways!0 Pixie Dust
