(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

The Mad Hatter:You don't slay? Do you have any idea what the Red Queen has done? You don't slay.
Alice: I couldn't if i wanted to.
The Mad Hatter: You're not the same as you were before You were much more..."muchier" You've lost your "muchness"
Alice: My "muchness"?
The Mad Hatter: [Points to Alice's heart] In there.
Sometimes your greatest strength can also be your greatest weakness.
For example, if you are kindhearted, that is a wonderful trait unless you let it get out of hand and become a push-over.
If you are detail oriented, that can help you do a great job unless it turns into paralyzing perfectionism.
If you are beautiful, that can be wonderful unless it turns into vanity.
Having lots of good ideas can be great unless you become the person with a sozen half finished projects.
It seems that everyone has a personality trait that could be a positive OR a negative depending on a combination of issues including the beliefs and the management of that trait.
Today I am going to spend some time reflecting on those traits that I have that are BOTH a positive and a negative in my life.
I'm going to see if I can't spend a day molding these traits so they work FOR me instead of AGAINST me.
I think that would be a great way to get closer to my goals and dreams, rather than running in circles around them!
Is anyone with me?

I find I feel too appologetic when it comes to not being able to please everyone, so when (and because) people in my life are aware of this, they know that I will manage to find a way to make everyone (but myself) happy.
I had plans with my hubby and Alice to go with another Mom, her hubby and their daughter Anna to go to the lake with a picnic (oh and with our new mini weiner puppy RINGO) and just enjoy the day, tailgate and BBQ and just relax. Another mom (her son is in Alice`s class) was offend she wasn`t invited, but really she wasn`t! She doesn`t drive, her son is reckless and not easy to hang out with when I am trying to calm Alice, she smokes, and only needs and never contributes... So why should I feel responsible and sorry for not taking her, I am not responible for her, to include her, I should appologize for not changing plans to accomodate!
But of course this was this morning at JK and obviously I am still thinking about it which so that I am feeling bad and trying to tell my self not to... is it working?
I had an awesome day and got waonderful, supportive, positive advice and assistance from good friends (you too Christine!) and I want to take that and note that some friends do need but also contribute and I hope I will be there for them as much and as often as the have been there for me...
Give and Take... how can that go wrong?
I was worried I wouldn't make my blog for Sandra as promised... I took and so I must give... it's a wonderful balance isn't it?0 Pixie Dust

The concept of not being able to please everyone is a good one, especially because some people are just plain not going to be pleased or, if they are for the moment, it won't last.
Judging from the scenario you gave above, it doesn't sound as if that person is giving a whole lot to please ANYONE. I've been around some people who only need and never contribute, and my feeling is.....
Go in peace, but please go!0 Pixie Dust
