(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Please join us and introduce yourself here.
Today's goal is to let it ALL be for me.
Today, while enjoying Saturday bowling, a party was getting started as we finished our game. We were a little behind, and, since our lane was a center lane for the party, they put on the disco lights on our lane while the party kids waited for us to finish.
I_Described_the_light_here_in_this_entry.
Well, let me tell you, these lights are highly coveted by all the children, who ask their parents if they can have a bowling party with the lights, and don't seem pleased when told something like "Well, it isn't your birthday."
But HERE we were, no one's birthday, and we got to bowl a few rounds with the lights.
But Camille's first reaction was "But they're not for me!" with a sad face.
I said "But they are here for you NOW!"
Camille responded by brightening up, going out onto the place where the lights were casting shapes on the floor, and dancing on them, as if she were trying to stop them in place by planting her foot on them.
It was then that I realized how important it is to take every gift as if it was wholly and fully intended as a sign of love or recognition for me.
It is so easy to think that something is not mine. Maybe someone will pay me a compliment and I'll think "If only they knew!" Or maybe I'll accomplish something and think "It wasn't that great." or, my personal favorite, "I just Forest Gumped my way into that one!" Or maybe I'll be in the middle of a group of people, a beautiful place, or a happy event and find that thought "It's not really for ME," popping into my head.
Today, when I got home from bowling, I was thankful for the beautiful Spring day that was created JUST FOR ME! I went out and cleared away some of winter's shadow from my gardens, and underneath the dead leaves and brush were little teeny green sprouts that were coming up JUST FOR ME! Then I took a nice hot bubble bath with my favorite spa CD and incense, creating the perfect relaxing place JUST FOR ME. And, I think later, I'm going to go and get some Spicy Crab Rolls from the Sushi take-out place because, after all, they are waiting there...yup...you got it...JUST FOR ME!
What a great day!

By the way, I almost decided it was too much trouble to go and get my spicy crab rolls and Miso soup, but I am SOOOO glad I decided to take the time and effort on "All For Me Day".
The meal was YUMMMYYYY!
That really was a great day!
Now I'm going into the back yard to continue clearing the way for Spring, which is popping up in my yard. Since the Me day is over, though, you all can share the beautiful Spring blessings. Today all the flowers are popping up for everyone, so you can share!0 Pixie Dust

I try to put others first before I put my day which is when I get home it all for me, since my apartment-mate is still recovering in a nursing home. Also his room is the last room down a hall way of this apartment I get to have his room close off and I have a one bed room apartment all to myself. So when I get home it all for me. It nice after giving your heart out to the kids. So having a your day recharge your batteries.0 Pixie Dust

Todd, I know how good it can feel to have your own little space, especially when you feel that it has expanded!
Is there some way you can rearrange your room so it can feel like your own private space when your room-mate is back?
(Remember? the parts of the project at these links.)
I did that first for my bedroom and, next, for my downstairs office, and it really makes a difference when you want a little solitude.0 Pixie Dust

Well when he here all he does is watches TV and always made a mess in the living room. I try to encourage him to be a bit neater but nothing works. Any ways My room is big and cozy I like it but I just don't want to be in my room since I pay rent for the whole place not my own room, I made the whole place almost like my room like it and it look nice. If any one interested I could sent a photo email of my place.0 Pixie Dust
