(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Do you have any Mogul Goals or Dreams?

I suppose my formula might be: dream, diversify and never miss an angle.
Walt Disney
I was watching the Olympic Mogul Skiing events and I couldn't help but think about Walt's quote, especially the "never miss an angle" part.
I blogged a little about being too focused on angles, but the mogul skiiers have to quickly assess and react to every angle OR ELSE.
Well, maybe not every angle. They don't have to worry about the angles that are not in their path. I like those kinds of goals-the ones where you can stay focused because you know exactly what is important to consider.
There certainly is not a straight line from point A to point B, BUT there is no doubt which shadows, hills, and valleys are meaningful to the end result.
Those are the kinds of goals that let you get in "The Zone", that place, for me, that feels just great. It is the reason why I started to set high goals in the first place.
I'm thinking about some of those goals that are difficult to plan for and anticipate steps. I wonder if they might be easier to deal with if I visualized them almost as a mogul race, complete, of course, with the big jump!
I know where I want to end up, generally, I hope I don't break a leg or get a facefull of snow, and it would be REALLY cool to walk away with the gold!
But, the fact is, only time will tell. Even if I just make it to the end in one piece, I guess that is something, right?
Do you have any goals or situations that are like the moguls? How about any of the other Olympic events?

I have a goal to travel the world and learn nine world lanuages by the time im 30. Right now im 18 1/2 and the goal is set very high because i have yet to master one language. I guess in olympic language i am right on top of the hill with butterflies in my stomach waiting fro the bell to ding so I could fly down that ramp and hopefully land in one piece with my goal accomplished.
Am I setting my goal too high??0 Pixie Dust
