(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

The Sun in the Morning or the Moon at Night?
Blogging every day has taught me some things about time of day.
I've learned that usually in the morning, my brain works like the sun, all bright and full of fire and heat. (Well, after a pot of coffee, that is!) Often sharp, energetic, and excited with the potential of throwing out light and seeing what grows.
I've also learned that, at night, my brain cools down and gets kind-of cold and sleepy. Any light thrown off is pretty much a reflection from something else, maybe something I'd done during the day. Some nights I may shine brightly for a while, but I'm really just orbiting around the promise of a nice warm bed and a good night's sleep. I'm just closing up shop.
My evening blogs seem to be centered around being thankful for the day, while my morning blogs seemed to be more forward-thinking.
So, here I am with a WHOLE DAY'S worth of time to do things, and I am going to focus today on being thankful for the day in advance. I hope I use the time well.
As a completely off-topic tangent, for some reason I decided to listen to a Tom Waits CD (Big Time to be exact). I've created a wierd dissonance between blogging about the excitement of the day while listening to Tom Waits.
It is kind-of like a black hole that taps into those parts of me that suck the light right out of my dreams and goals. I LOVE Tom Waits, but there is something inside of me that resonates with this CD to take the momentum right out of my progress.
But, I digress, and I need to move on. I do believe I will change my music selections once this CD is done. I wonder if it will make a difference.
Do you notice difference in your thinking from morning to night? Do you have anything that you might really love that takes your mind from an empowered, energetic place to something slower?
By the way, I switched the music to Mainstreet Electical Parade, and I am off-and-running!
