(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Another goal update. Can anyone else post updates?
OK, let's hear it? How are the goals going? Are you working on other goals? What's happening?
I have photo updates to show how I've finished my therapy room and my sanctuary room from organizing or decorating a room. (Remember? the parts of the project at these links.)
I'm still working on getting the photos up, and I'll let you know as soon as it is done.
Anyone else? Please post those updates!

Hey Todd... took a look! Thanks for the shout out... I am still going to send you another version or two... I am never satisfied with the first draft of anything I do. But thanks for the props!

Sandra and Angie, I mean leave a comment on my web site in the community page. I'm starting to develop a page for the resort I did I kinda do in between breaks with the kids at the school. I'm too tier to deal with it when I get home. You won't see until I make it visable to others. Boy it feels later then it is. It already dark here in San Diego 6:20pm.0 Pixie Dust

Why all else in my life is looking miserable I am actually doing exceedingly well at my goal. Sadly on 10-29 I was laid off from a job I loved. I began my 15 minute drive unemployed and finished it with a new job. Working for the MIL. Taking the job was not high on my want list since it is at an asssisted living home. However, as it turned I did just find myself with some "free time" as it were so why not. I took the job to help her out. Being in a home gives me ample opportunities to be helpful.0 Pixie Dust

and I say: Yes, I got your card. I responded someplace here in the blog. I put the card in the beautiful wooden box that they sent with Smokey's ashes! Your card really made my day! Thank you! It is something how much a cat can be missed!0 Pixie Dust

I'm finally checking in with an update on my goal (life is a little crazy right now). I'll try to keep it short but a little background might help. DH & I have been on a 12 year journey trying to have children. We have been trying to adopt for the past 4 years. We have been through a lot during this time with miscarriages, surgeries, closed doors with adoption agencies, and failed adoption attempts. About the the time we were thinking it was not meant to be, we found a new agency willing to work with us. They have been amazing to work with (especially compared to what we've dealt with up till now). We spent every waking moment of three months getting all the requirements completed so we could adopt and then the waiting game begins......more to come0 Pixie Dust

Three short months after having all our adoption requirements completed, I got a call from a coordinator at the agency. We had been chosen by a birthmom out of the 15 families she had been presented with. In open adoption, the birthmom gets to choose the family she wants to raise her baby. Although there is no guarantee until 3 days after birth, this was a great first step. Communication was very slow at first, but after getting up the courage to call us, she decided to officially match with us. Since she lives in NV & we in CA, we had to hire legal representation in both states. In order to get to know her better & hopefully solidify her decision in picking us, we decided to make the 10 hour trip (each way) to go meet her.0 Pixie Dust

So much for posting a short update - sorry! Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time with the birthmom & her boyfriend this weekend. I think the connection we were able to make was worth the time, effort & expense of the trip. She should deliver some time in the next month so if all goes well my 12 year goal will be complete soon!0 Pixie Dust

Sandy, as an update for us, a lot of our bills are slowly but surely getting paid off and even Birthday money I got from my Grandparents and Christmas Money from my mom are going toward those paju bills. I just wished we weren't still having to pay off our computers we got last Oct. That couldn't be fixed and now causing us to use DH's tax refunds to get a new one. We are still putting money aside for a family Disney Trip, but I hope DH doesn't dip into it to pay for Open Bar Costs (since he offered to pay for it for his sister's upcoming wedding because he didn't like her only serving beer and wine). I forgot to mention that another goal at least I have is after getting my few credit cards paid off, not touching them til it's time to pay for a Family Friendly Bachelor/ Bachelorette Party for DSil and FDBil, especially something DS and DFBil's younger sisters can enjoy with us. This is something I want to do for her besides helping her with other parts of her Wedding that she wants but can't afford. I'll feel good about helping her out and making her Wedding Beautiful0 Pixie Dust
