(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Technology can be a real challenge. It keeps coming at us with new gadgets and procedures like an automatic ball throwing machine set at high and fast. We can duck and cover or we can try to keep up by taking a swing whenever we can.
Unlike the automatic ball throwing machine, though, technology is not something that most people can simply decide to walk away from.
I've received a few e-vites which are cute little invitations that keep track of who responded and how. It took some thinking to figure out how to respond, and I'm still not certain if I responded correctly. A while back, I was invited to an event on an old address which I rarely open. I missed the event.
Has technology changed the way you socialize? Does technology ever get in the way of making connections?
(To be continued-I just ran out of time!)
Have a fun day!

This is exactly what keeps us young . . .
All the new gadgets that the young people take to like fish.
. . . and what makes us old . . .
Trying to keep up with everything when before techno gadgets we only worried about the gadgets we wanted now we are convinced that we need them all.
. . . and why we are here.0 Pixie Dust

I am resistant to change, especially where technology is concerned. I much prefer to talk on the phone, since there are a couple of days each week when I don't even turn my computer on! I hate it when people send an email or some other form of communication, and assume it's going to be read immediately. They might live on their computers constantly, but not everybody else does. On the other hand, technology sure is nice when it works properly.0 Pixie Dust

Thanks for responding. Jamie, I feel the same way about people who get all bent out of shape if you don't respond to an email. A while back, my computer was in the shop, so I could only check email at work. It was also a MAJOR busy time in my field.
Well, I got an email from someone who usually sends jokes, forwards, or updates with several recipients, so I didn't know the message was something personal she wanted me to know.
I ended up getting an extremely angry and blaming email because I hadn't responded in a timely manner. A real keyboard attack!
Her message started with something like "I don't want to hear any excuses for why you are ignoring me, so now I'm going to ignore you." I sent back a very nice have-a-nice-life message and moved on. Life is short.
Some people just can't stop and think about possibly real-life communication glitches and, with tech, that can be even a BIGGER issue!0 Pixie Dust
