(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

What inspires you right now, from where you are sitting?
I've been thinking about this group blog experience that I'm hoping to have...that is IF I can find a group.
We opened yesterday with some thoughts on creating a certain environment. Well, I've been thinking...this is a Disney centered website, and I think most of us have our minds on Disney quite a bit, so here is my idea.
I'd like to work with Disney concepts, which could include Walt's Ways or the ideals and concepts that we see in the various Disney Parks and Projects today.
Here is an example. Disney is a master of creating pockets of space that have distinct themes, purpose, and feelings. Each space is within walking distance of the next completely different area.
The last post looked at creating (or recreating) living/working/relaxing/recreation space that is better suited to the function of that space. One of the feelings I always find at Disney is inspiration. At some point, I'd like to work on creating or refining the various areas of inspiration that exist in our whole living space, but right now, I want to stay very local.
Here is what I would like to focus on at the moment.
INSPIRATION!
What inspires you from where you are sitting right now? Is any of it Disney related?
Now, I did not do this on purpose, but, from where I am sitting right now, I see many Disney items.
On the cork board is
*a photo of Mexico's Epcot Pavillion
*a ticket jacket with a photo of Soarin' from when the attraction first opened
*a Where Dreams Come True button
* a Disney calendar page from when Friday was on October 20th. The photo is Mulan, but I think I saved it because I wrote Nam myoho renge kyo on it, which is a chant from Tina Turner's movie.
*a calendar page from whenever Friday was on the first of September. The photo is Snow White, and the caption reads Snow White imagines many frights as she runs through the forest to escape the Queen's wrath, but eventually makes it safely to the Seven Dwarfs' cottage.
*a cartoon I copied from a Disney book titled Murphy and the Life Cycle of a Project. The cartoon depicts the development of a creative idea from concept to opening day perfectly.
*a Leave a Legacy photo.
Non-Disney inspirational items are:
*a drawing that a student (Joy) gave me from the Nutcracker Suite. There is a big castle, and the Nutcracker is on a boat saying "I will save you, Joy, Don't Worry, Stay OK."
* A Nguyen Trai quote that I've owned for over 20 years.
*my employee badge from my summer working on The Mississippi Queen.
OK, so there are my inspirational items. PLEASE tell me yours here, rather than a PM, so everyone can enjoy!

Disney related, lanyards of trading pins we have collected over the years' trips to WDW. On my nightstand are my PP and my Birnbaum's books.
On my computer my favorites list is packed full of a WDW file of sites to go to concerning interests and our upcoming adventure.
Items about my room to remind me of the sea, which I love to be at the sea, or on the sea cruising.
People I love who live in my home with me inspire me, my DH and DSon. I have pets that give me inspiration to give and live for something else besides me.0 Pixie Dust

Thanks for responding, Jamie. As I went through the rest of the house, I noticed a bunch of other items that I'd placed here or there for inspiration. I can't believe how many of these items are Disney related.
I also have alot of sea or sea-life items as well as a whole bunch of cat/kitten photos.
By the way, again, I am so sorry for the loss of your pet.
PLEASE POST COMMENTS, those who are reading. I want to hear your thoughts.0 Pixie Dust

From where I sit right now, I see lots of books. A few Disney related but mostly non-Disney, my DBF's drafting table that is currently covered in newspaper so we can do some painting. There is also two small boxes of art supplies (markers, crayons, glue, etc), DBF's computers with his art mannequin holding a post card from Chip and Dale. My Disney planning bag -- complete with Passporter, calendar, and autograph books to be decorated -- is sitting on the floor beside me along with my back back and schoolwork. On the shelf across the way is the priority mail package that still contains my new Passporter pouches and a Passporter pin for DD. They are all inspirational little things in their own ways.0 Pixie Dust

So this is a hard, yet obvious one... as far as inspiration goes... it is almost all Disney and/or art. It's all around me, all the time (including my daughter "ALICE"). But I would say one of the biggest inspirations in front of me is the poster of Walt in the doorway and Mickey's Shadow. It always reminds me that it's all from inside and I just want to smile and go paint when I see it.0 Pixie Dust

Sorry I'm late to the party!
Photos of my family, a plaque that says "This Too Shall Pass", 2 books I got on my last trip to WDW (Walt Disney An American Original - that picture of Walt/Mickey in the doorway is on the cover, LOVE IT!! - , Walt DisneyWorld, Where Dreams Come True - Then, Now, and Forever), and my workout shoes that I never put out of sight.0 Pixie Dust
