(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Stickerbush people and Lamb's ear people
OK, OK, here is my blog for today! Thanks for the PM's!
Do people ever remind you of certain plants in your garden?
Did you ever feel the soft plant called Lamb's ear? I love it. Every time you touch it, it's hard not to say "awwwww!" I spent the evening with some lamb's ear people. Just easy to be with. Nice, calm, comfy.
At the moment, I'm having trouble keeping my mind off the scratches and stab wounds on my arms. Today I wrestled with a sticker bush using a pair of pruning sheers. Somehow, this bush had grown so out of control that I had to spend hours pruning it.
Well, actually, the mystery of how it got so out of control is simple. Every single time I try to work with this bush, I end up in pain. I don't even know what the bush is called, but it has pretty pink flowers in the spring and long dagger-like stickers the rest of the time. So I end up avoiding it.
So, getting back to the people, there are people who sometimes behave just like that sticker bush and, I have to say, I'd rather avoid them. Every single time I interact with certain types of people, it seems, I get STUCK! You just can't work things out, nothing ever gets resolved with stickerbush people. It's ALWAYS something!
People who judge, people who set you up to say or do the wrong thing, people you just can't please. People who are overwhelmingly negative, who put people down or who are just plain mean. Sometimes they are connected to a painful situation. Some people may be perfectly fine, and it is likely that I am the problem, but I'm not comfortable around them.
Little by little I am distancing myself from that type of person. I treat them like the sticker bush. When it is ABSOLUTELY necessary, I'll tackle them for as long as I need to, then I'll nurse the scrapes and go back to my lambs ear people.
Do you know any stickerbush people?
