(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

PassPorters, Doves, and Owls
This morning was so great at the pool. Not a soul was around! The pool here is about the size you'd find on a cruise ship, but with only 14 rooms, you can imagine it is much less crowded!
As usual with my solo trips, after the first couple days, the solitude puts me in an odd frame of mind. Good, but so different from the usual. Being on vacation without the usual worrying about someone else's moods or preferences is transforming because you suddenly have to think about your own! There is no one else to take the focus off the fact that you might not really know what it is that you want to do for several days in row. In a busy world with so many people to consider, sometimes I wonder if I really know myself!!! Are there any other solo travelers out there who transform after the first couple days of traveling alone?
I read my book (Dockside) while floating in my private pool this morning! Then I realized that my bookmark was the card I'd passed around at the NYC PassPorter meet to match names with screen names. So, actually, in some way, Lemap76, PrincessSharon, MinnieMouse27. Shelybelly72, OffKilterLynn, SuperDave, Disney, Wintersong, Justinefellows, momofjustinefelows, Dave marx, EmpressLizBunny, and MusicL46 are here in Key Largo!
The whole time I was in the pool, the doves were flying over my head cooing away. It is interesting that i first thought I heard owls, then realized that they were doves, I also first thought I came here to gain a little perspective and Wisdom (an owl) and realized what I needed was a little peace (doves) with myself and others.
So, none-the-wiser, I am more peaceful here in Key Largo.

My first solo trip ever really was last summer. While it is GREAT to travel with someone who is easy to be with, it is better to be solo than travel with crabby, annoying, or otherwise difficult people.
I'm actually getting used to this solo travel business, and, though it DOES get a little lonely, I have cell phones and the internet!0 Pixie Dust
