Well it's been a while since I posted last my blog. Sorry, I've MIA life has been kind of hectic, what with getting gastric banding done and having to deal my newfound social life. That's right, I got a real full-blooded friend in New York City. Now admittedly, I did meet her in my group, but it's kind of amazing to find someone who gets you so much. I'll say something and then she'll say something like. I feel that way too or, I thought that too, and it will often be something that if I expressed it to someone else that they would think was just weird
And my shrink wants me to be a guest “Speaker” I put that in quotation marks because I would actually be speaking she'll just use quotes from me anonymously because of my insight and articulation of my disability and how it has affected me. I thought this is really cool.
So including the preop and postop diets for the gastric banding. I have lost over 20 pounds already at the moment I have no restriction on the band. Meaning I can eat pretty much anything and almost as much as I could before. I try not to, but it's hard. I have an appointment to have my first fill the day after my 22nd birthday, February 18. I also have an appointment with one of the nutritionists that day. Not the one I've already explained my entire story to the other one. The one I have met yet
So tomorrow I'm going to experiment with how to cook stir for a keep in mind. I've never cooked anything that wasn't out-of-the-box or can before I can do pasta, rice and soup canned soup of course oh and scramble eggs. Those almost impossible to mess up. So let's see how badly I mess up the stirfry I'm planning to make a plan in training new type of noodle. It's called tofu Shirataki noodles. They have 40 calories per two cup package I hear they have a slightly different texture than normal noodles I'm willing to try anything once. Well, almost I'm pretty sure that if I mess up the stirfry I'll still be successful in making pita pizza which if nothing else should still be good. It's a recipe that is in a book specifically written for people who have had a form of bariatric surgery. It looks pretty good.
So to sum up, gentle readers, and sorry I've been away and that I have not kept my promise that I would post every day and be consistent. I will try harder to do so. Thank you for your patience and for reading my blog
UPDATE- i accidentally put too much stuff in as i had a package of frozen broccoli and a package of chicken and both were more than i thought they were and i might have used a little to much sauce (i used most of the bottle) but it also has tofu Shirataki noodles(40 cal a package and 2 packeges in the stirfry)bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and the elusive water chestnut
on to my review it tastes verry good the noodles have a slightly chewy texture but if i wasent thinking about it i wouldnt be able to tell! the chicken is verry dry(but i like my strfry chicken that way as thats how daddy makes it)
here is a pic of it
so what do y'all think?
