Q: What is the expected release date of PassPorter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line --
Fifth Edition?
A: Approximately January 22, 2007 Q: Can I get a discount on PassPorter? A: All books ordered from PassPorter carry a 15% discount off the list price, for both the paperback and the deluxe edition. A discounted price is also available from Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com. Local bookstores do not generally discount travel guides. If you purchased another PassPorter guidebook or a previous edition of the cruise guide, you can get a 30% discount for orders directly through us. To receive your 30% coupon, simply register your copy of PassPorter with us. If you already registered, locate your coupon at the bottom of the e-mail you received after registering then proceed to the Coupon Center for directions. If you can't locate your e-mail, send us e-mail and we'll send you another copy. Q: Does your book cover the new itineraries to the Mediterranean? A: Yes, yes, YES! The fifth edition contains port guides to ALL the new ports -- the guides include 4- to 8-page descriptions, maps, photos, and shore excursion information (based on typical offerings by other cruise lines). Q: Do you have photos in your field guide? A: Yes, many photos, over 75 -- more than we can put in our Walt Disney World guide, in fact. Most of our photos are original, and some include your authors. Q: Can I add and remove pages and pockets in the new field guide? A: The deluxe version of PassPorter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line comes in a ring binder that allows you to add and remove pages as you please. The paperback edition's pages are glued at the binding (like most books), though you could rip or cut pages out if you wished. Q: What is PassPorter in a nutshell? A: Actually, PassPorter doesn't come in a nutshell. (Just
teasing!) In brief, PassPorter combines the expert advice of a good travel guide with the
organizational aspects of a planner. The Deluxe Edition adds our famous PassPockets and
combines the information with a personal organizer and trip journal. A: We enjoy the thrill of venturing into the unknown just
as much as the next person. Even so, when vacation time is so precious and vacation costs
are so high, why risk wasting hours or even entire days of your vacation because you were
unprepared? The stress of constant on-the-fly decision making, the disappointment of lost
opportunities and the waste of limited vacation dollars hardly adds up to a pleasant,
rejuvenating vacation. A little up-front investment in planning and organization helps
ensure a wonderful journey and a lifetime of happy memories. Q: Is PassPorter updated regularly? A: Yes! PassPorter is updated in two ways: First, we keep our web site up-to-date with the information you need to plan your vacation. Besides the articles and reports you find on our Web site, we also offer a special page of Book Updates (download this page and your PassPorter is always up-to-date). With our Web site, your PassPorter need never go out of date, unlike almost every other travel guide. Second, besides the updates we place on our Web site, we
also plan to offer new editions of PassPorter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line on a
yearly basis. Our sixth edition will be released in early 2008. If you would like to be kept informed of updates, revisions, and
new editions, please subscribe to our newsletter. Q: How can I protect my PassPorter and keep it safe? A: We carry our PassPorters around in waist packs (a.k.a.
"fanny packs"). This keeps
our PassPorters handy and protects them from loss and bad weather. The waist pack needs a
main compartment of at least 5.5" x 9" (paperback edition) or 7" x 9.5" (deluxe
edition) to hold your PassPorter comfortably. (We used to sell these through our store,
but our supplier stopped making the pack we liked!) We also use day packs with good
results, and some travel-oriented shoulder bags will work well. And if you need
down-and-dirty protection, a resealable plastic bag (gallon size) does the trick. Q: How big/small is PassPorter? A: The dimensions of the paperback edition are 9" x 5 1/2" and about 3/4" thick. The Deluxe Edition is 9.5" x 7" x 1 1/2" thick. Q: My vacation is over eleven days. Can I purchase more PassPockets? A: If you have or are purchasing the deluxe edition of PassPorter, yes! Visit our Online Store for availability and pricing of additional pockets. Q: Do you offer any discounts or coupons? A: Actually, yes! We usually have at least one discount
going on at any one time -- at this time, all PassPorters have an automatic discount
through our online store. (Tip: You can get a 20% discount if you download the free pages from the guidebook.) We also offer electronic
coupons to everyone who registers a copy of PassPorter. Ask around! Q: Why do you call it a PassPorter? A: Frankly, we just thought it would be fun to have a book that we could abbreviate to "P.P." All kidding aside, there are two main reasons we chose PassPorter:
