    Tip Saved!

Walt Disney World Tip #1991 - Save Money with Kids Consignment Sales

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
I recently discovered a great way to earn money for our trips -- kids consignment sales! I searched online for the consignment sale in my area that would let me keep the highest percentange of my sales. (The one I participate in allows me to retain up to 90% of my profits, depending upon the number of hours that I volunteer during the sale.) I then gather all the clothes, toys, books, equipment, etc. that my children have outgrown and tag them for the sale. At the spring sale I made $350, and at the fall sale I made just under $1000! If you piggy-back a garage sale at your home after the consignment sale (which I did in the spring), you can make even more money (I made an additional $450). Since we aim for a Disney trip every other year, doing these sales twice a year really helps to earn money for our vacation.
