Walt Disney World Tip #1891 - Try Table Service for Special Dietary Needs

We have a family member with special dietary needs in our family. We opted for the Disney Dining Plan because we figured that table meals at the parks were going to accommodate our needs best and they can be pricey. At each sit down meal the chef came out to talk to us and made the special needs person feel extra special instead of inconspicuous. It was so pleasant than after we came home from Disney all restaurants since them seem to pale in comparison. We also tallied our receipts from the meals and what we paid for the meal plan and what we would have paid was significantly different. We had booked early and had gotten a 30% discount on the dining plan. Counter service was accommodating but not as good as the table service. Anyone with special dietary needs I would recommend the table restaurants. I did let the special diets group at Disney know I was coming ahead of time but even the restaurant that we booked once we got there worked with us. It was fabulous.
