    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #23271 - Timing is Key for Dining Reservations

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
One of our favorite things to do at Walt Disney World is take advantage of the character meals. One thing that helps us create the magic (and in some cases, prolong the magic) is to really think about the times of our reservations. For instance, make a reservation at, say Chef Mickey's for the latest breakfast time they have allows us to "bulk up" on the breakfast and not have to eat lunch. When we are on the Disney Dining Plan where you only get on Table Service, one Quick Service and one Snack, it allows us to stretch 2 meals all day long without going hungry. Also, if you are visiting a restaurant within a park, for example Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios or Akershus at Epcot, the earlier you go, the better. You get into the park with dining reservations before the gates are open. If you can plan the end of your meal with the opening of the park, you've beaten the crowds and don't have to deal with the mass rush to the back of the parks. Additionally, if you are VERY lucky, you can have happen to you what happened to us, and you can be named the First Family! We were at Hollywood and Vine and just happened to be first on the list for breakfast. Since we were the first family, they brought us in from outside into the restaurant and all the staff, including the characters, were there to welcome us and show us to our table! It was nothing short of amazing!!
