    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #2184 - Get Moving Before Your Trip

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
In order to get our two boys (ages 7 and 11 at the time) prepared for all the walking at Walt Disney World, I came up with 2 things that got us all moving. As the weather got nicer we would walk around our neighborhood as a family and play the Disney alphabet game. One of us would start with the letter A and name a ride at Walt Disney World or a character's name, ending with the letter Z. We always had some sort of Disney theme to keep us distracted and excited. The second idea came from our 7-year-old son. He would draw maps of the neighborhood and devise walking plans that he named himself and then we would all walk these routes. It really helped knowing that the kids could walk a mile without complaining! (By the way, the average visitor to Walt Disney World walks 7 miles in one day!)
