    General Travel Tip #24346 - Breeze Through Airport Security with a Little Prep


    At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
    To get through airport security a little quicker I take a few minutes before getting in line to prepare. I move so I'm out of people's way (I frequently combine this with a pre-security restroom visit) and get ready for security. I make sure my pockets are empty, my shoes are easy to get on/off, take off any sweater or jacket I'm wearing, pull out my 311 bag if I have one and my laptop if I'm not using my security friendly backpack and make sure that I have my ID and boarding pass in hand to give to the TSA agent. Doing this allows me to go through security a bit less stressed if not faster than I would if I didn't take a few minutes to get ready for security.
