Walt Disney World Tip #1230 - Waste Not, Want Not

My husband and I discovered on one of our trips to Walt Disney World that we seemed to be wasting a fair amount of food, and money at meal times. With four kids that could add up to quite a bit of money. So we came up with this. We let three of the kids order what they want (usually off the kids menu). Our three year old only picks anyway, so we would make sure somebody got something he would like to eat. Then, my husband and I agree on something and share it. Then when the kids are done, we finish what they do not eat. We started doing this figuring we can always get more if anyone is still hungry, but that rarely happens. Especially considering that in the heat we are not usually as hungry as we thought we were. We save a little money and don't have to feel guilty about throwing out perfectly good food, or eating more than we really wanted because we did not want it to go to waste.
