    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #2548 - Bring Baggies

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
I am a firm believer in traveling with assorted "ziplock" bags! With four children, we have to be careful when we pack so we do not go over airline weight limits, or personal space limits if we are traveling by car! I take about 20, Gallon sized bags for each trip. We pack a dry t-shirt, any needed underclothing, and a pair of flip flops in each bag. I pop these in my backpack, and then, if we get soaked on Kali River Rapids, or caught in a summer downpour, we simply head into the nearest restroom, and take off the wet clothes, putting them in the Ziplock. Our things stay dry in the backpack, and we can continue to play without being wet and uncomfortable. The smaller bags are perfect for cosmetics/sunscreen that might leak onto things, bandaids, safety pins, and medications, as well as for those little things children collect. (Like the streamers and glitter that they pick up off the ground after parades and shows!) For little ones, marking each of their bags with a permanent marker in a special color helps them know what is theirs. You can actually get an entire day's clothes in the Quart size, and that way, they can just grab a bag and get dressed, avoiding the wardrobe meltdowns that CAN occur with the "I CAN DO IT MYSELF" gang.
