Disneyland Resort/Southern California Tip #24704 - Ice Cream Nachos at Disneyland

On our recent trip to Disneyland, we discovered the best-kept counter service dining secret: Ice cream nachos! I first heard of them from someone's post online and AJ Wolfe from the Disney Food Blog also talked about them in an article. I couldn't remember which venue at Disneyland park sold them and no cast member could tell me where to go. On our last day, a cast member suggested checking with the ice cream parlour on Main street. Thankfully, a cast member there was "in the know" and sent us to Diamond Horseshoe. As we knew, the ice cream nachos are "off the menu", but you just have to ask. I noticed my receipt read, "Halloween special." At $6.45 these are truly the best treat bargain at Disneyland Resort! A huge plate of broken waffle cone pieces, chocolate syrup, 3 scoops of ice cream (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate), chocolate shavings, whipped cream, and cherry on top! People around us were asking what they were and how to get them. Our family of four shared an order and it was plenty for us. They were so good that we went back later that night and got them once more! I figured it would be a long time before we would get all the way across the country to Disneyland again!
