General Travel Tip #2752 - Solid Soaps When Flying

On one of our trips to Walt Disney World where we traveled via airplane, I found that some of my liquid soaps that had been in my checked luggage had partially frozen and then thawed during the flight, and some items leaked in the baggies I put them in. My liquid moisturizer that had frozen wasn't the same after thawing and somewhat crystallized, making it practically unusable. While I try to pack what liquids I can in the allowed zip-lock baggie in my carry-on,some items just won't fit and need to be checked. To help with this, on my last trip, instead of liquid facial cleanser, I packed pre-moistened facial cleansing towlettes. For shaving, I used the razors that come with the moisturizing solid right on the razor. For showers, I brought my own bar of soap (since I have allergies and are unable to use soap provided by the hotels). It was great not having to worry about putting all the items in separate baggies and not having leaking or freezing issues.
