    General Travel Tip #2191 - Keeping Kids Safe at Baggage Claim


    At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
    When we arrive at our destination and proceed to baggage claim, we always have one adult or older child stay with any younger kids near baggage claim. Then, one adult (usually me, since I know what the suitcases look like) pulls luggage from the belt and the other adult collects it onto a trolley or takes it to the area the kids are in. They get a job (watch the luggage) and they aren't in people's way or in danger of getting injured. We've seen more than one child injured by the belt at baggage claim because their parents allowed them to play on it or to "help."
