    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #22935 - Solo Trip to Walt Disney World

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
There I was, about to turn the big 50 and work was keeping me close to home and family and friends were far away (and I'm single). What to do? Go to Disney World! Luckily I lived nearby (2 hours). I learned something that week. You can have all sorts of fun at Disney even (and especially) when alone. I had my birthday lunch at the Biergarten in Germany and ate with a family and a couple who were at my same "family-seating" table. Great fun. I signed up for a Backstage Tour at the Magic Kingdom one day and Epcot on another. These meant that I had a brand new and exciting experience each time and was surrounded by like-minded people. I got into parks before they opened. Got some fantastic empty street pictures of Main Street and Epcot. I stayed on property and enjoyed a feeling of safety I would not have had off property. I found that all cast members were happy to take a picture for me. I ended up with much proof of my fun time. I also found myself having my picture taken with all sorts of Disney characters. What memories and pictures I have of my 50th birthday week. Don't sell yourself short of a wonderful opportunity. Go alone!
