General Travel Tip #24878 - Pack Pop-Up Hampers When Driving to Disney

With a family of 5, we now opt to drive to most of our vacation destinations rather than fly. Not only does this save us money, it also gives us more flexibility in what we can bring along with us. One thing I always remember to bring are folding mesh pop-up laundry hampers. I place three of them (one for white clothes, one for brights, one for darks) in our bathroom area at the resort, and when we undress at the end of the day our clothes go right into the appropriate hamper. At the end of the trip, we load the full hampers right up into the back of our van. The empty suitcases hold our souvenirs, day bags, leftover snacks, etc. When we arrive home, the hampers are brought into the laundry room. Laundry is easy because the loads are pre-sorted. I love this system for a variety of reasons. 1) We don't have a pile of dirty clothes on our hotel room floor 2) We don't have to put sweaty dirty clothes into our suitcases and 3)it saves time when we are in the hectic transition phase back to normal life when we return home.
