    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Disney Cruise Line Tip #23812 - Plan Parks First for Jetlag

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
My daughter and I last year had our magical trip from Australia to Orlando to enjoy Disney Magic on the Disney Dream (3 days)then Disney World (7 days). My main problem was that even after using quickest route, 3 flights and over 20 hours flight time later, jetlag affected me badly. Even though we stayed overnight in Orlando before the cruise, on the first day of cruise I was asleep by mid afternoon. My tip is that if you are going to travel long distance that might affect sleep patterns do the theme parks first then the cruise. The theme parks are open for longer hours and so you can adjust without missing out on anything. The cruise was just too wonderful to miss out on enjoyment and it was a bit embarrassing arriving at the Palo with sleep lines all over my face. I suppose that the unexpected always adds a bit to holiday fun.
