Walt Disney World Tip #24643 - Fort Wilderness Tips

A few tips for those that plan to stay at Fort Wilderness.... The cabin does have a wall mounted hair dryer, but it's in the bedroom on the wall at the foot of the bunk beds. I didn't realize this our first trip and couldn't dry my hair because I didn't want to wake the kids. I've taken my own on every trip thereafter. Also, something I just learned on my last trip...after you check in, you can drive your own car to the Meadow Trading Post and pick up supplies to store in your cabin. I only found this out when our last trip was coming to an end. Normally, we always check in, leave the car at the cabin and take a bus to the gift shop then we lug all our 'groceries' back to the cabin via the bus. This would have saved us a lot of time and we probably wouldn't have needed so much from Garden Grocer if I had known this. You get about 15 minutes to park there (you can't stay there and go swimming or anything) but that's more than enough time to grab what you need and get going.
