PassPorter’s Secret to Success: Feedback!

Fifteen years ago when the first PassPorter was written, I mistakenly thought that people would only want really basic information on the attractions and we included only lists (yes, just lists!). But our readers told us they wanted more information on the rides, and our next edition had it. This is one example out of hundreds. I am very thankful for the huge amount feedback and ideas we get from you.

But I need more feedback! This time, for the PassPorter blog. I’ve been writing a lot of different sorts of blog posts, but I’m not entirely sure what you want to read about. I think it’s time I pick a solid direction.

I need you to tell me.

I’ve made a list of potential topics and directions I could go in below. Please let me know what you’d like to read about!

Possible topics (in no particular order):

  • Reviews (attractions, restaurants, resorts, etc.)
  • Tips for travel, tips for Disney vacations
  • Tutorials and How-Tos on Disney-inspired things to make
  • Photos (favorites, unusual, beautiful, etc.)
  • Opinions (on news or trends at Disney)
  • Answers to your specific questions
  • Book Updates (more in-depth information on pages or sections)
  • Entertaining or funny stuff related to Disney
  • Top 5 or 10 lists of highlights, best ofs, and favorites at Disney
  • Personal stories of my time at Disney, or my adventures in writing PassPorter
  • Parent and kid tips for Disney Vacations
  • Community spirit and showcase (i.e., stories, random acts, etc.)
  • Technology at and related to Disney
  • Magic of Disney
  • Tips and methods for planning your trip
  • Super, long, in-depth look at rides, resorts, etc.
  • Work-at-home mom stuff
  • Roundup of other good blogs, videos, sites
  • Money saving tips and ideas
  • Something else … ?

When I started PassPorter in the ’90s, the world was different. Now there are a lot of voices in the Disney community, and there’s no need for me to duplicate anything anyone else does.

What do YOU want? What would you like to read from me? Pick something from the list, or suggest something entirely different. Or, let me know what you’ve liked best that I’ve done so far.

Feel free to respond here to e-mail me directly at jennifer (at) passporter [dot] com.

Thank you!
