10 Favorite Views from the Re-Imagined Disney Magic Ship

All day yesterday and most of today I’ve been looking at photos from the renovated and re-imaginated Disney Magic ship, which had its first sailing yesterday. The Disney Magic has had MANY additions and changes after its drydock earlier this month (you can see a list of changes here) so there’s quite a bit at which to look. Of course, I have some favorites. Here are my ten favorite photos (so far) of the Disney Magic. All photos are by author and photographer Dave Marx, who is onboard the Disney Magic as I type this. You can click on each picture to go to it in the PassPorter Photo Archive.

1. Iconic Magic. You can see the yellow Twist n’ Spout water slide, the AquaLab, and the Nephew’s Splash Zone behind that, not to mention the big red stack and shady lounge chairs. Ahhhhh. Photo by Dave Marx.

2. Mickey Mouse Club. This is a room in the Oceaneer Club, one of the youth areas on the renovated Disney Magic. How sweet is this? Photo by Dave Marx

3. Sun Chandeliers. I think they look very striking and rather unique. I can’t say for sure how they look in the grand scheme of the Lobby Atrium, though — I rather liked the old Dale Chihuly chandelier. Photo by Dave Marx.

4. Stateroom Storage. I've not seen this wonderful storage unit in the inside staterooms before, and I think it's a great idea for that strange little alcove I see in many staterooms. Big winner!

5. Underbed space. The new beds on the Disney Magic have more space underneath for storing luggage or whatever … this is a big plus in a stateroom. Photo by Dave Marx.

6. RFID Locks. It’s about time the Magic got these on the stateroom doors!

7. Stairway to Magic. This is just a really COOL view of the spiral staircase to the Twist n’ Spout water slide! Photo by Dave Marx.

8. Chillin' in the spa. This bed looks so peaceful, so relaxing … I can totally imagine a hot stone massage here.

9. Duck Pool. Well, of course there should be a duck pool! That water looks very refreshing, I must say.

Just makes me want to go on a cruise. right. now. Must plan a cruise!
