Kiss Me, I’m Irish (in WDW)! 1

Lucky!

So the weekend is winding down; however, what a weekend it was! Especially if you happened to be in Walt Disney World (“WDW”) over the holiday — you know, the holiday when everybody’s Irish and eating green food doesn’t require you sending it back to the kitchen! 😀

Yep, in case you forgot to order your green beer while covered from head to toe in similarly hued clothing while also wearing an inordinate amount of shamrocks, leprechauns, and/or their pots of gold, this past Saturday was March 17th, or as it’s better known: St. Patricks Day!

I, although “out” in spirit :-P, stayed in with the DH here at home. We were not, unfortunately, in or around WDW — just like we weren’t there a few weeks ago when I asked if anyone had been there for Disney’s celebration of February 29th, “Did You Leap (at Walt Disney World)?” Darn all these festivities going on without me!

So, being that I was yet again stuck here — albeit with some amazing weather:

Temps in the 70s in March?! Yeah we had some Irish luck!

I figured I would ask (and continue to live vicariously through) those of you reading:

Were you in WDW for St. Patrick’s Day? If so, did you celebrate?

I know for certain that had the DH and I been in town, the one and only place we would have been heading to was Raglan Road in Downtown Disney (“DTD”)!

It’s a festive Irish pub/restaurant serving up authentic food, beverages, and entertainment year-round, but I have got to imagine that St. Patty’s Day is the day to have a reservation for a table with a few of your closest friends — well after a pint or two isn’t everyone your friend??

Were you at Raglan Road this weekend?

If any time were a fun time to be an adult roaming around WDW, this weekend would have been the perfect example! But, if you didn’t have the luck of the Irish 😉 to get to Disney for the day (I didn’t either!), I’m sure you’re like me and would love to hear from those that did! So please let me know what fun activities, festive music, and delicious food and drink you enjoyed this past Saturday while out and about in the “World!”

However, no matter where you were, I hope you enjoyed your weekend — and, if you did find some green beer, I hope you drank it responsibly!

Cheers!

Until next time…

About aliceinwdw

Hi there! Nice to meet you. That's a nice name. Oh, interesting; that sounds like a fun job. You're from where? Really? No, I'm kidding...really? How do you spell that?? Oooh, me? I'm Kelly. I am a full-time Disney daydreamer, planner, and, now, blogger. In the *real* world, somewhere near Detroit, MI, I tend to be be ever busy solving life's daily conundrums, serving up vacation planning advice, or simply somehow saving the day (aren't we all?). As for my love of Disney, I share that with my DH, as well as our furry "kids;" although, perhaps, they don't love it quite as much as we do! In any event, since our "little ones" can't accompany us to Walt Disney World each year, we have discovered so many of the fun and wonderful experiences available to us adult-only travelers -- and I am so thrilled to share all of this with you! ** So, last time, you'll never believe what they had...
