Sweet Eats (at Walt Disney World) 7

* It sure is! *

BE MINE

TRULY YOURS

I LOVE YOU

Oh yes! These are things you might say for, oh I don’t know, VALENTINES DAY, but they’re also pretty much the same things I say (in my head mostly) when standing in line somewhere in Walt Disney World (“WDW”) waiting to get yet another “something” delectable!

Oh yes my friends, there are more than just lollipops-the-size-of-small-children and cotton candy and jellybeans available for your sweet tooth! (Although there is nothing necessarily wrong with any of these. :-P) But, if you’re looking for something a bit more “sophisticated,” do you know how many of these scrumdiddilyumptous treats and goodies there are throughout the parks and resorts?? No, do you, because I don’t. No, no, no! It’s doesn’t matter. What does matter is that there are so many yummy WDW treats that I would give up a box of Godiva for ( 😉 ), and I’m wondering if there are any you feel the same about? Because if there’s one thing Disney can do, it’s cook, well bake, but you know what I mean!

Sooo…wait for it…

What is your favorite WDW “sweet eat” that you would *love* to have this Valentine’s Day?

I can answer this — with pictures!– but I don’t have just one!

My Top 5

(They’re all tied — so there’s no real preference! Let’s just say I wouldn’t say “no” to any of them!)

#1

Zebra Domes from Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge ("AKL")

#2

Peanut Butter Mousse Tarts from Boma at AKL

#3

Caramel Apples from Main Street at Disneyland (they have them @ WDW too!)

#4

Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom

#5

Rice Cream from Norway in Epcot

Do our lists match? 😀

You’re Going to Spoil Your Dinner

I don’t know about you, but for me: Too Late!

Oh well. All I can do now is try and wait until autumn when we get to go back and have 1, or 3, of each of these! *daydreams* Too bad there’s just soooo many holiday celebrations in between that I can *totally* work these into: Flag Day, Arbor Day, Tax Day…

But for now I will try to enjoy my Valentine’s Day and hope you do the same — and I’m also going to go before I grab a fork and ruin my monitor!

Until next time,

About aliceinwdw

Hi there! Nice to meet you. That's a nice name. Oh, interesting; that sounds like a fun job. You're from where? Really? No, I'm kidding...really? How do you spell that?? Oooh, me? I'm Kelly. I am a full-time Disney daydreamer, planner, and, now, blogger. In the *real* world, somewhere near Detroit, MI, I tend to be be ever busy solving life's daily conundrums, serving up vacation planning advice, or simply somehow saving the day (aren't we all?). As for my love of Disney, I share that with my DH, as well as our furry "kids;" although, perhaps, they don't love it quite as much as we do! In any event, since our "little ones" can't accompany us to Walt Disney World each year, we have discovered so many of the fun and wonderful experiences available to us adult-only travelers -- and I am so thrilled to share all of this with you! ** So, last time, you'll never believe what they had...

The only one I’ve had from the above was the zebra domes and they didn’t appeal to me at all! I was quite surprised. On the next trip I am promising myself that we will do the Dole Whips. We saw candy apples available at the Werther’s stores in Germany but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $5.00 for an apple, even if it is a Disney apple! But definitely willing to pay for a Dole Whip.

Awe don’t think of it as paying $5 for the apple, think of it as paying $5 for all that delicious caramel. (That’s what I tell the DH when he’s wincing at the prices too!)

I have had the carmel apples at Werther’s and they are absolutely to die for, along with the chocolate covered strawberries, just about everything else in the store.

My favorite and I didn’t even realize it existed until this past summer is the Dole Pineapple Ice Cream. My hairdresser is also a Disney lover so whenever I come in we always talk about Disney. She told me how yummy they are and when I went this time I made a point of looking for the Dole stand. It was pure heaven, I wish they would sell them in the stores, but I guess it wouldn’t be as special if I could eat it any time I wanted to!

    MMMMMMMM! Zebra domes!

My favorite was Coconut Haystacks. They were a white confection that was SO yummy. I have not seen them in a few years, and I sure do miss them!

OMGosh! I was trying to add this as one of DH’s fave (kind of like a bonus to the Top 5 :-D), but I really wanted pictures — because how can you describe half of the yummy foods without them 😉 — and I could not find a single photo of them! Apparently you, me, and he were the only ones who loved them — but none of us took a picture! Ha ha ha. So he says *thumbs up* to your fave! (P.S. We tried looking for them this past November and, like you mentioned, we couldn’t find them anywhere. I think the first time we had them was in 2010 at the Confectionery in MK).

My DH and I wondered into Goofy Candy Company in Downtown Disney on our last trip. OMG!!!! That is heaven! If you have a sweet tooth the candy apples, pastries, and anything gummy is to die for! We are both teachers so we also really appreciated the candy referenced periodic table and sweet math equations decorating the walls. See kids….learning is fun!!! 🙂

    YUM!
